Brand and digital product development for a novel crowdsourcing platform that brings together news agencies and freelance journalists.
Newsmodo is an innovative digital network, connecting freelance journalists with news agencies to make sourcing content and finding freelance work simpler on a global scale. I designed a clean-cut web UI, making it simple to interact with the site from the perspective of both journalists and agencies. Keeping sales patter to a minimum, I intertwined functionality with core propositions, restricting showcasing to a single “How it Works” page and reducing navigation clicks to limit barriers to entry. Active briefs were visible in a single front end page, filterable by region, and bold colours alongside high contrast improved legibility and intelligibility to create a zippy, clear user experience.
